HME dredged 250,000 CY for USACE Portland District, restoring safe navigation in Oregon & Washington waterways.
HME was contracted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Portland District to perform clamshell maintenance dredging across multiple federal navigation channels in Oregon and Washington. This project involved the removal of over 250,000 cubic yards of sediment to maintain safe navigation for commercial and government vessels.
The dredging operations supported key regional waterways, ensuring continued navigability for ports, industries, and critical supply chains. Sediment was placed in approved in-water and upland disposal sites per USACE’s Beneficial Use of Dredged Material guidelines.
HME’s clamshell dredging operations for the USACE Portland District ensured the continued functionality of key waterways across Oregon and Washington. The project reinforced HME’s ability to execute large-scale maintenance dredging with precision and compliance.
