HME partnered with USCG & USACE for maintenance dredging to restore safe navigation at the Port of Ilwaco.
HME collaborated with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Coast Guard to conduct maintenance dredging at the Port of Ilwaco. The project involved the removal of sediment buildup to restore navigable depths, ensuring continued safe access for Coast Guard vessels, commercial fishing boats, and maritime traffic operating in the region.
The Port of Ilwaco faced significant sediment accumulation, restricting vessel access and creating navigational hazards for both U.S. Coast Guard operations and local commercial fishing fleets. To maintain operational readiness and port efficiency, the channel required immediate dredging to meet regulatory depth requirements.
HME, in partnership with USACE and USCG, executed a comprehensive clamshell dredging operation to clear accumulated sediment from key navigation areas. Our team worked efficiently to remove material, restore depth, and maintain safe transit conditions, all while ensuring minimal environmental impact and compliance with federal dredging regulations.
This project underscores HME’s expertise in maintenance dredging and our commitment to supporting national defense, local industries, and maritime safety through strategic infrastructure solutions.
